Is there any place to see a comparison between professions,soldier,pirate and so on,any tips for choosing one?

In Azure Atoll,i have the ,kill 5 pirate clippers, quest ...where are they???

and lastly any wikis or similar pages for the game?

To choose a class (profession) you are asked to go to the academy at Tylerion. There you can see the skills each class has. It is part of the story line and the first time you've to pick a class all previous stats are reset. Note you get 1 free class reset when you start the game so if you decide to change class later on you can use it.
