This event will run from 8 Feb to 15 Feb 23:59H Server Time.
<< HOW TO PLAY>>
The objective is the descend as far beneath the Maelstrom as you can. Your maximum "depth" achieved is also your score.
1. Travel to the Maelstrom during the event period (min level 50, travel cost = 0 energy).
2. Use the “Descend” commands to descend deeper into the Maelstrom.
3. To successfully descend, you have to encounter and defeat the “Depth Guardian” to move to the next level/depth. 1 energy spent attempting to descend gives you a 1% chance to encounter the depth guardian(hence, using the 50 energy descend gives you a 50% chance to encounter)
4. If “frenzy” is active the encounter rate is doubled, hence using 50 energy to descend during frenzy will give you a 100% chance to encounter a depth guardian.
5. After you defeat a depth guardian you will descend 100 leagues.
6. You can redeem the corresponding prize for the depth that you’ve achieved.
Tip: to increase your chances of triggering frenzy mode, lower your energy to 50, then descend using the 5 energy option.
Earn an achievement for reaching the top rankings! (Only 1 achievement per captain)
Notes:
- If more than 1 player has the same points/depth, the player to achieve that depth first will be ranked higher.
- Kharybdis and the Gate Keeper will not be accessible during the event.
- Wiley's War Wagon will not be accessible from the Maelstrom during the event period.

- Boss monsters at every 2,000 leagues now gives more depth leagues!
(Players who have already defeated these boss monsters have been credited the extra depth leagues)
- Now players will get a chance to encounter either the Deep One or the Deep Titan at 20,000 leagues or deeper instead of just the Deep Titan!
