Ever wanted to just burn everything in your inventory? No?

Well maybe you will with this new research system (which features really cool animation of your stuff going up in flames) because now you'll be trashing your items.... FOR SCIENCE!

Instead of just throwing gold into research and getting recipes unlocked automatically, the new research system "recycles" your old gear to unlock recipes and improve your upgrading success rate. Just drag your unwanted items to the furnace and watch your junk BURN! and the research bars increase unlocking new recipes.

This will allow Tyler to introduce new systems (such as the free gacha chest for "social points"/medals, treasure chests for war participation) that make it easier for players to get uncommon and even rare items. It will also stagger the introduction of new recipes for new players.

<insert rant about how it's bad to take away something that was free before, you don't care about the new players, this is my worse idea ever, etc.>

On another note.

There are not much things in the new guys hangar i supposed.

The ROI is RNG or is it based on wat u feed.

how many items do i need to burn to unlock a recipe?
And does the lvl of the item play a role in moving the bar? EG: higher lvl item move the bar more.

Does it matter what you burn, so say you have to burn a ruby ray to unlock the gunray recipe or do rarer items just take the bar up faster than common ones?

If the later I like the idea. It will finally give me a use for the low level rares rotting in my hanger that are not heavily used for crafting.

So the current research system will dissapear?
I found it very useful specially now that the resourses are so freaking expensive.
