There was a bug that added and removed 1000 APs. If a player used the APs then they would have a -ve balance when the time difference was corrected.

The hard part is that BS is seems to be pushing the blame on to the players instead of acknowledging it. Frankly I couldn't be bothered until I saw that comments about players being fools and greedy as well.

You can't say they did not lose anything. They must buy 50 ochos in order to get the 1000 APs. It was mistakenly believed that that it was an unannounced promotion so the players paid for it. And true enough the 1000 AP appeared in their AP bank. They start telling others about it and more got on board.

How much did BS earn from this? 50 ocho may not be much but still people bought it because they were led to believe the promotion is true. If it is false and no AP is awarded, only a few would be affected instead of so many people.

The comments of greedy is not directed at you but other players comments. You did mention this right?

Anyway back to the topic. Bug. Is the bug the fault of the players or the server? The players did not cause the bug right? So is it a system issue that caused the bug? Why penalise the players for the bug? It is reasonable to remove the 1k AP from those who have more than 1k AP since it does not cause them to have negative AP. But you should have just reset to zero those with less than 1k AP and leave it as that, instead of giving them negative balance which is in fact penalizing them. This way, the players won't be that troubled since they can buy new APs without penalty and enjoy new future promotions.

Some would disagree with you. Also, it was a bug, we didn't manually remove the 1k AP the bug added.
