Crafting Feature requests
Crafting is a bit tedious at best and the new system has some changes which makes it less usable.
In addition to this there no longer seems to be any announcements when new craftable items come, when stat changes on existing items, or even when items are added or removed from the ocho shop.
Here is a series of things which you should consider:
1. Announce changes to weapons, parts, ships, crafting recipes better. Some months ago this was handled much better. Not so good at all lately.
2. In craft screen, add the box of items I currently have in hangar, so I can see what I currently have.
3. In craft screen, add a Trade Import so I can purchase any item available in shops which my level allows me to purchase directly without having to go to the place. And yeah, I will easily pay say 20% more resources/gold for using this convenience feature. (Import screen would need to show your current wood and war medals too.)
4. In craft screen, display the name and stats of items when you hoover over them. In particular if you select a craft item, hover must work on the components in the craft recipe, which it currently does not do. I want to know what will be used, not only what I need further. Nearly every item has new icons and many of them are very, very similar.
5. On the wiki under the port heading, indicate better where/how you can get items. A craftable weapon should say 'Craftable in Port name', an ocho item should say 'Ocho shop', a casino item should say 'Casino' and so on. The text Rare/Crafted says very little on how to get the item.

Re: Crafting Feature requests

Re: Crafting Feature requests
Let's do 1 at the time? Lol.
I just had a talked with the programmer over the suggestion no 4 which is the hovering of the icon and stating what weapon or part will be used and he said it can be done probably but will take some time as he have some other tasks to complete first.
And also we will still need to seek for LL and TY's approval first and only if it is approved then the programmer can work on this small tweak.
Andrew, number 5 is hard simply because it will probably involved alot of manual editing which we do not have time to do so. The main reason is that since Wiki is linked to live Server database, so that means if we want to do those changes, it will mean alot changes to the main server database which is not exactly not easy and rather time consuming which Ty probably do not exactly have time to do so at the moment. But nonetheless Ty did say he will try to look into it when he is free though.
With regards,
Peter

Re: Crafting Feature requests
what about making wiki searchable? the search function is not working at all and if you want to find a part / weapon, you have to go through pages of items just to find the shop location..

Re: Crafting Feature requests
I agree that all points should be implemented in order to take away some confusion and tedious hassle involved in one of the game's coolest implementation that is crafting. However, points 2 and 4 are the most important ones so that's a +1 from me.
The 1st crafting page we ever got to use was actually a lot more functional than the current interface and it actually provided what is now demanded as increased functionalities:
- We could see the recipes and the items needed for each recipe
- Items we had in our hangar (either ingredients or crafted ones) were highlighted and a number in the icon indicated how many of the respective item we had
The only actual improvement of the current interface is the ability to see the weapon animation of the crafted item (which is really cool) and the crafted item's stats (which is very useful).
So a mix of the 2 interfaces is actually what would be ideal.
