I remember.....

So, I checked my Bio and I've been here about a month over 4 years and yes, I'm more of a noob now than I ever was before.

Here are some of the things I can remember..

* Waking up every morning seeing " your ship has been sunk by gamblers crew"
* The number 1 player was about level 60 odd.
* When Volcano cannons were the best cannon there was and you couldn't wait until you got to "god" level to get them.
* Hammer's of were were epic weapons
* Elron gomes had two hammers of war
* Elron gomes
* Nicky Meyer before he was Jamie Madrox
* Marina
* Fong Pei
* Finding out who the real Fong pei was (wasn't a surprise when you sat down and thought about it)
* Rawr at it's best, sinking one fort at a time at auto rez and staying up the rest of the week.
* When clan wars only had one lane
* When all clans went up at auto rez and it became a free for all
* This was before the invention of tiers
* PC
* The time of alliance's
* V going down to tier B after kicking inactive members and working there way back up.
* Speedy
* Roll backs on resource market thanks to multi's
* Speedy starting a level 1 Sailor and having max resources the next day
* speedy getting Banned
* HKU
* HKU getting banned
* When FEAT was the number 1 clan.

I'm sure there is ton's more.... the game has changed a lot and i'm sure there there is more to come.

My 4th BS birthday is in about a week, and I remember all that, except I never really knew who Fong Pei really was.

- Frank Li being deleveled after Volcano Cannons being deemed too OPd.
- The old cartoonish artwork, and being proud of having cool looking ships like the Banana Boat and RLBC.
- When filling your Battle Royale with 6 Shurikens at level 64(?) made you a god in CW.
- When CW had 4 lanes, and L1 was restricted to Lvls <100 and SW couldn't be aimed there.
- Ping Pirates and their interviews.
- V/CREED/HKU as the main superpowers, and the CREED+HKU alliance that followed versus V. Then, as NiCE!, it switched to V+NiCE vs HKU.
- The start of Ocho (and Copper Coins) and the 3,500 AP monthly limit. Anyone that reached that limit was considered crazy.

And more recently, but changed the whole pace of the game entirely:

- The Armour nerf, and the end of solid, viable rock Defense.

Marina is now everyone's first mate. We'll re-introduce her character once we've added her to your crew bar.

Moar dramaz will come after we make some updates to the Clan system this December.

Let massive rebate be done in Dec before the Clan system updates?

I remember the Commander nerf circa summer 2008... erm, I also remember how excited I was when I found a Giga Drill and a Demon Sail exploring.

btw Fong Pei wasn't LL. He was a player just like the rest of us, and a pretty damn good one also.
