The most innovative way to waste ochos is buying casino chips with ocho, for the really expensive stuff and ignore renewing licenses. This PVP shield is the most wasteful way to waste ocho. Probably cheaper to buy AP to level fast and buy quick build on island defenses and defense outfits in the ocho shop and ocho transfer outfits instead of auction, better stuff in auction than casino eventually.. If you worry that much just keep buying or selling resources or don't build gold producing buildings on your island, the last is the simplest and those buildings take a year and a half to break even, three counting leveling.

Don't build Estate, Gambling den, brewery or Palace and don't level gold buildings below that and you give junk gold and are worth avoiding. Best deterrent if gold is what they want.
If any one is interested in transfer of the best outfits, meaning you had to buy them, like Twilight gate stuff that was available give me captain name and I'll look and let me know what you will accept.I'll consider trading very rare ship skins, so check out my wares and we'll see.

I think it's based on the difference between his ground attack vs. your ground defense but capped at 1M gold max.
