I mean personally, If I knew about Maelstrom event at that time, I would not have spent that AP rebate solely on skirmish which does not benefit me as much as this event would have.

and the ap rebate was not put in ap bank. lol so its will be forced used in earlier events doesnt matter.

Not that Im supporting mr max or anything,
But the APs from this rebate went to the AP meter.
No one involved enough in the game would keep any of those aps for months specially because in that time we didn't even know about the maelstorm event. Plus, even if someone with clairvoyance kept 5000 aps in the meter without playing for 2 months (about 12960AP of regen) to have the chance to earn around 5000 points in the event, well ...

Well, it's hard to forget when your AP meter is showing overflow and ur regen is 0/hour.
