i faced this kind of problem b4...just try reset wpn n optimize again.

I will check this asap when I return home today. I think the program did't update the free capacity correct after you selected the parts because of an unknown bug to me. How did you selected the parts? With parts optimizer? With part select? with combo boxes?
Did you select the parts first and then the ship or the opposite? How did you select the ship, with the combo box or with the ship select screen?

I just understand that you don't use the latest version of the program. This layout is for sure from an old version. I don't remember which version but for sure a very old one. It's normal that the database does not work properly because it's made to work ONLY with the latest version of the program. When you use the database with old program version I know that the ship's properties don't load correct.

Please try my new simulator program : BS Shipyard. See the first post.

It seems that the optimizer doesn't work for me. When I start, a message box shows up saying that the program is optimizing, but if I click OK the program will be closed.

After some months of development I release today a new simulator program. It's name is BS Shipyard. It's the successor of the BS Ship Configuration Tool and it has all of it's features and some new.
So what's new? As first release don't expect many new things. New new things will come later. Because I used the source code of the BS Ship Configuration Tool only as a guide most of the code of the BS Shipyard is new. That's why this version is beta and does not have so many new things. So if you find any problem or error or you if you have any suggestion please make a reply here and I will try to help you.
Because of BS Ship Configuration Tool was written with an old program language it used <<old technology>> that modern operation system sometime don't support correct. With the BS Shipyard I try to bypass this. As long you have Microsoft Net framework you can run this program and also you don't need to install it.
So the most important new things are:

- You don't need to install the program
- New layout
- All BS skills are available
- Database tables have more info
- Moderated damage option.
- The <<Hangar layout>> is now the default and the only way to select parts/weapons.
- All optimizers are now Independent from build tab.
- Outfit optimizer now suggests the optimal ratio of men/women
- Import BS Ship Configuration Tool Builds

And many more........


As for BS Ship Configuration Tool for me is an ended project. Don't expect any program updates or support anymore. I will only release database updates but not for too long. You should try the new program.
