* I think auto repair is very good for PvP because:

1) It forces people to use the right build to sink the defender in one go, much like the red-tagged ships. No more lazy 2+ attempts, more challenging.

2) Minimizing extra clicking for attackers by eliminating repairs. This is a big plus and makes PvP more enjoyable.

* For CW it is a bit of a mixed bag:

On the plus side:

1) Eliminates "easy sniping". Snipers must always face full HP ships.

2) Eliminates lag caused by repair spam.

3) Minimizes extra clicking for repairs which makes CW more efficient (e.g. gives more time to change build etc).

On the gray zone:

1) Big plus for decent defenders, especially offline defenders.

2) Better XP for attackers that can consistently sink defenders from full HP.

3) Gives a defense boost to all clans, as not all members can attend all wars, but they can be assigned as an offline defender.

On the negative side:

1) Encourages less active participation (actually this not uncommon for FB games, but then again BS is not your standard FB crap-game).

2) Unfair advantage over lower level attackers and/or non-ocho players. Especially at lower levels (up to 100) it is easy to have uber unbreakable ram defense. This will more likely frustrate new players rather than encourage them to get better. At higher levels the +5 level difference is not that intimidating though.

So in a nutshell TL/DR:

- Great for PvP.
- Both good and bad for CW.

Random proposal: CW defenders must be either active or they must have opted in for their clan's next war to be allowed to defend.

If we are going to run it again, can we play with the defender cooldown, it needs to be larger. Can we trial it matching the attackers cooldown of 10 seconds. It's only fair.

I would think a 10 sec. cooldown would screw smaller clans with fewer people on defense.
