My threat dropped after the previous update from 5700 to 5005 but that was only after the update.

However upon changing into worse eqiupment did you try re loading the game to update the threat level? You would appear in the pvp list for other players as a cert...

I'd say the main contributing factor was unlocking Lotus, would that make sense?
